How organizers publish events on Step

Publishing an event listing is free. Selling paid tickets and using the door QR scanner require a connected payout method.
Prerequisites
From the profile menu:
- Get connected → Payouts (Stripe Connect, PayPal, or Wise), with verification completed
- Become organizer, if the account is still in attendee mode
Creation wizard
Create an event in the profile menu opens a four-step wizard:
- Basics: name, type, location, time, dance styles, venue
- Details: description, media, ticket tiers and prices
- Program & policy: schedule, capacity, waitlist, refund and transfer rules
- Review: final check before publish, or draft when available
Nothing is public until the review step is confirmed.
Flyer scan
The wizard can accept up to five images for a single event (for example a main flyer, a price list, and day sheets). Extracted fields such as name, dates, venue, styles, ticket types, and program can be edited before publish. Mixing images from different events reduces accuracy, so one event per upload is recommended.
After publishing
- My Manager in the profile menu lists and edits your events.
- The QR scanner is available for live events when payouts are verified. Scans can be queued offline and synced when connectivity returns.
- Create flyer generates marketing images using AI credits. Failed generations do not consume a credit.
