Technology and cyber coverage for WeDance and Step.

Status: WeDance is finalizing Tech E&O / Cyber coverage through Embroker with Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company. The named insured is being updated to WeDance, LLC. Once the policy is bound and in force, we can issue a certificate of insurance (COI) on request. This page is a plain-language summary, not the policy.

Who we insure with

We selected the Embroker Startup Package for technology companies that run software platforms and handle customer data and payments-related risk. Embroker places the package with Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company, backed by a coalition of A-rated reinsurers.

Embroker is our broker and program partner. Everspan is the insurer on the form. Questions about binding or certificates should come through us first at support@wedance.world; we work with Embroker for official documents.

Coverage type

The coverage part we are placing is Technology Errors and Omissions / Cyber Liability (Tech E&O / Cyber). It is built for product, media, network security, privacy, and related technology risks, not for general event liability or dance venue property coverage.

• Proposed policy period: annual term once bound (quote window was 07/16/2026 to 07/16/2027)

Limits, retentions, and exact policy dates take effect only when the policy is bound and issued. Until then, treat the figures above as the proposed program we are completing with Embroker, not as live coverage.

What Tech E&O / Cyber is designed to address

Embroker's Technology E&O and Cyber form groups several insuring agreements under one aggregate. In plain language, the package is aimed at risks like:

• Technology and media errors and omissions: claims that our software or related professional services caused a covered loss
• Network security and privacy liability: claims arising from a network security event or privacy issue
• Privacy breach and forensic expenses: reasonable costs to investigate and respond after a covered security event
• Payment card industry and card brand fines or assessments, where the form applies under a merchant agreement
• System damage: reasonable costs to repair or reconstitute systems and data damaged by a covered network security event
• Telecommunications fraud loss from unauthorized use of systems, where the form applies
• Cyber extortion costs arising from a covered cyber threat
• Business interruption costs from a covered network security event or system failure, subject to the policy definitions and waiting periods

Every insuring agreement has definitions, retentions, sublimits, and exclusions. Nothing on this page expands or replaces the policy. If a claim or certificate is needed, the issued policy and Embroker control.

What this is not

• Not general commercial liability or event cancellation insurance for every dance party
• Not a guarantee that any particular claim will be covered
• Not payment processing insurance from Stripe, PayPal, or Wise; those partners have their own programs and rules
• Not a substitute for organizer or venue insurance when a contract requires it

Organizers remain responsible for any insurance their venues, cities, or contracts require. Step's platform coverage does not automatically make every organizer an additional insured.

Certificate of insurance (COI)

After the policy is bound under WeDance, LLC, partners who need a certificate of insurance can request one by emailing support@wedance.world with:

• Your organization name and contact email
• Why you need the certificate (for example venue, partner, or vendor)
• Any certificate holder name and address that must appear on the form
• Deadline, if there is one

We issue certificates through Embroker after binding. Until named insured and payment are complete, we cannot truthfully present a final COI as if the policy were already live.

How this fits with product security
