These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WeDance's website, applications, and services. Our flagship product is the Step mobile application (referred to as "Step" throughout these terms), along with all associated offerings that connect dancers worldwide. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any WeDance services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

Description of Service

WeDance provides a platform that connects dancers worldwide through technology and community. Our services include:

• Event discovery and management tools
• Ticket purchasing and mobile ticket delivery
• Private class booking and scheduling
• Community features to connect dancers
• Event organizer tools including ticketing and payouts
• Educational resources and content

User Accounts and Responsibilities

To use certain features of our services, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use Policy

When using our services, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted content
• Attempt to disrupt or compromise our services
• Use our services for spam or unauthorized commercial purposes
• Impersonate others or provide false information

Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit to our services. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our services.

Our services and original content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Payments, Fees, and Transactions

Step facilitates payments between dancers and event organizers or instructors. By using our payment features, you agree to the following:

• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and authorize us to charge your selected payment method.
• Pricing: All prices are displayed in the applicable currency at the time of purchase. Currency conversion rates are determined by our payment processor and may include conversion fees.
• Platform Fees: WeDance charges platform fees on ticket sales and other transactions. These fees are clearly disclosed before purchase and help us maintain and improve our services.
• Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your purchases. Event organizers are responsible for collecting and remitting any required taxes on their ticket sales.

Refunds and Cancellations

Step is a platform that connects dancers with event organizers. We do not handle refunds directly—refunds are the responsibility of the event organizer or instructor.

• Event Tickets: Each event organizer sets their own refund policy, which is displayed on the event page before purchase. Contact the organizer directly for any refund requests.
• Cancelled Events: Organizers who use Step commit to refunding dancers if they cancel an event. Failure to honor this commitment may result in account restrictions.
• Private Classes: Cancellation terms are set by the individual instructor. Contact the instructor directly for refund requests.

Event Organizer Terms

If you use Step to sell tickets or offer services as an organizer or instructor, additional terms apply:

• Payment Methods: WeDance offers three payout methods: PayPal, Stripe Connect, and Manual Bank Transfer. You must connect a valid PayPal or Stripe account, or provide bank details for manual transfers to receive payouts. By connecting a payment account, you agree to the respective payment processor's terms of service and are responsible for maintaining accurate account information.
• Accurate Information: You must provide accurate event details, pricing, and refund policies. Misleading information may result in account suspension.
• Refund Obligations: You agree to honor the refund policy you set for your events. If you cancel an event, you must provide full refunds to all ticket holders.
• Payouts: Payout schedules vary by method:
  • PayPal: First-time users receive monthly payouts. After your first event with acceptable ticket sales and positive user feedback/ratings, you may request bi-weekly payouts subject to WeDance approval.
  • Stripe Connect: Standard Stripe payout schedule, typically within 2–7 business days of each transaction.
  • Manual Bank Transfer: Processed monthly for organizers without PayPal or Stripe access. May incur additional processing fees.
• Fees: WeDance charges a platform fee on each ticket sold. Payment processing fees vary by processor and are separate from platform fees. All fees are disclosed before you publish your event.

Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep our services available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue our services at any time, with or without notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeDance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for our services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Delaware.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
